Send us your favourite photo and we'll hand-cut a detailed silhouette of your pet from 2mm weathering steel. Every ear, every whisker, every little quirk that made them who they were - captured in steel that will stand in your garden for decades.

The base includes your pet's name and a second line for dates, a short message, or a few words that sum them up. "Good boy." "Best friend." "Forever missed." Whatever feels right.

Over time, the steel develops a warm, rust-coloured patina that softens and deepens with the seasons - a fitting tribute to a love that only grows.

Choosing Your Finish

Corten Steel (Natural Rust Finish)

Corten develops a beautiful, evolving rust patina over time. It's a living finish - the colour will deepen and change as it weathers, giving your piece a warm, earthy character that's completely unique.

Best suited for: Outdoors, covered patios, or well-ventilated indoor spaces where you're happy to embrace the raw, industrial look.

Important to know: Corten rusts by design. During the first few months (and during wet weather), rust can run off and stain walls, floors, or surfaces below. If you're mounting against a light-coloured wall or over pavers, we strongly recommend using standoffs to create a gap, and placing something underneath to catch any runoff until the patina stabilises. Indoors, Corten may shed fine rust dust over time, so it's best kept away from light carpets or furniture.

Powdercoated Mild Steel (Modern Look)

Powdercoating gives you a clean, consistent finish that won't change over time. It's more durable than regular paint and resistant to chipping, fading, and moisture - and it won't rust, stain, or shed.

Best suited for: Indoors, living spaces, bedrooms, offices - anywhere you want a polished look without any weathering or maintenance. Also great outdoors if you prefer a cleaner aesthetic.

If you're hanging your piece inside your home, powdercoated is the way to go.

What's Included:

Choosing a Spot:

Pick somewhere meaningful - under their favourite tree, near where they used to sit, in a garden bed you can see from the kitchen window, or a quiet corner where you can visit.

Installation:

Clear the area of rocks, roots, or debris
Position the stake where you want it and check you're happy with the angle
Push the stake firmly into the soil by hand
For harder ground, use a rubber mallet to gently tap it in, or soften the soil with water first
Ensure the memorial is upright and stable

Tips:

Avoid very rocky ground that could bend the stake
For the first few months, weathering steel sheds rust as the patina develops - place on soil, mulch, or gravel rather than directly against light-coloured pavers
Once the patina stabilises (usually 6-12 months), the rust runoff stops and the colour deepens to a rich, warm brown
The memorial is designed to weather beautifully outdoors in all conditions

This doesn't cover damage from misuse, improper installation, or extreme weather exposure on unsuitable materials - but if something's not right, reach out and we'll sort it out.

Smaller items go via Australia Post. Larger pieces are sent with a freight carrier who'll contact you to arrange delivery.

For Corten Steel

Corten is low-maintenance by nature. The rust layer is actually a protective shield that prevents deeper corrosion.

Let it do its thing - you don't need to oil, seal, or treat it
Expect runoff during the first few months and in wet weather. Keep it away from surfaces you don't want stained, or protect the area below
To clean, just hose it down or wipe with a damp cloth. Avoid soaps or chemicals as these can interfere with the natural weathering process
Once the patina stabilises (usually within 6-12 months depending on your climate), runoff will reduce significantly

For Powdercoated Mild Steel

Powdercoating is tough, but a little care will keep it looking sharp.

Wipe down with a soft cloth to remove dust. For marks or fingerprints, a damp cloth with a tiny drop of mild dish soap works well
Avoid abrasive pads, steel wool, or harsh chemicals - these can scratch or dull the finish
Chips are rare, but if they happen, a dab of exterior-grade metal touch-up paint will protect the exposed steel from moisture

General Handling & Safety

Watch the edges: Because your piece is hand-cut from 2mm steel, some edges may be sharp. We recommend wearing gloves while unboxing and hanging
Secure mounting: Steel is durable but heavy. Make sure you're mounting into a solid surface or using appropriate anchors for plasterboard
Coastal environments: Pieces hung in high-salinity areas may age faster. A quick rinse with fresh water a couple of times a year will help remove salt buildup
